Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy

SOLUCIONES INTEGRALES DE SOFTWARE SOLINTSOFT TECHNOLOGIES S.A.S. (“Solintsoft”, “we” or “the Company”) operates MotorGrounds, an automotive scheduling platform that lets users find repair shops, choose services, request appointments and manage their vehicles. It is available through mobile apps for vehicle owners and repair shops, and a website. This Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect personal data, in compliance with Ecuador's Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPDP), its Regulation and other applicable rules.

Channel for exercising rights and data protection inquiries: contact@solintsoft.com. Shops using the platform may, with respect to the data they process for their own management, act as independent controllers.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data processed through the MotorGrounds mobile apps, the motorgrounds.com website and support communications. It does not apply to third-party sites or services linked from the platform, which are governed by their own policies.

3. Personal data we process

• Identification and contact: first and last names, email and, where applicable, phone.
• Account data: credentials managed through our identity provider, account type (vehicle owner or shop) and activity logs needed to provide the service.
• Vehicle data: information about the vehicles a user registers (e.g. make, model, year, plate) and their service history.
• Location: precise or approximate device location, only while you use the app, to show nearby shops and calculate distances.
• Images and files: photos you choose to add to your registered vehicles.
• Appointments and services: shop, vehicle, selected services, requested date and time, notes, and appointment status.
• Shop data (shops platform): business details, locations, location and services offered.
• Technical data: IP address, device identifier and type, and the push notification token, related to the security and operation of the service.

Payments: MotorGrounds does not process payments or store card data. Any payment for automotive work is arranged directly between the vehicle owner and the repair shop, outside the platform.

4. Purposes of processing

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• Show you nearby shops and calculate distances from your location.
• Enable appointment requests and let shops confirm, reject and update their status.
• Let you manage your vehicles and their history.
• Send operational notifications about your appointments.
• Ensure platform security and prevent misuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and requests from competent authorities.

5. Legal basis

Processing is based, as applicable, on the grounds set out in the LOPDP:

• Performance of the contract (the service's terms of use) to which the data subject is a party.
• Consent of the data subject, in particular for access to location, camera and photos, granted through the operating system.
• Compliance with legal obligations applicable to the Company.
• Legitimate interest, in particular for information security and the prevention of misuse.

6. Processors and third parties

We share personal data only with providers acting as processors on behalf of Solintsoft, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations:

• Cloud infrastructure provider (Amazon Web Services): hosting, user authentication and secure storage of the platform and files.
• Google / Firebase: push notification delivery through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Google Maps Platform: map display and distance calculation to shops based on location.

In addition, when you contact or book with a shop, we share with that shop the data needed to provide the service (e.g. your name, the vehicle and the request details). We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to those described here.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers process data on servers located outside Ecuador (for example, in the United States). In such cases we adopt the safeguards required by the LOPDP so that the transfer maintains an adequate level of protection.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data while your account remains active and, afterwards, for the periods needed to meet legal and contractual responsibilities. You may request deletion of your account and data as described below — see the step-by-step guide at Account & Data Deletion —; we will retain only what the law requires us to keep.

9. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data and information about its processing.
• Rectification and update of inaccurate or outdated data.
• Erasure or deletion, including deletion of your account.
• Objection to processing in the cases provided by law.
• Portability of your data in a structured format.
• Not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@solintsoft.com stating your request and proving your identity. We will handle your request within the timeframe set by the LOPDP.

10. Complaints to the supervisory authority

If you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the law, you may file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendency for the Protection of Personal Data, without prejudice to any other remedies available to you.

11. Information security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, including encryption of communications (TLS) and access control.

12. Minors

MotorGrounds is intended for persons with legal capacity to contract and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without the consent of their legal guardian.

13. Mobile app permissions

The app requests the following device permissions, always for a specific purpose and with the operating system's prior consent:

Location	Show you nearby shops and calculate distances (only while you use the app).
Camera	Take a photo of a registered vehicle when you choose to add one.
Photo library	Choose a photo for a registered vehicle.
Notifications	Alert you about appointment updates.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may stop working.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The current version will always be the one published on this page, with its update date.
